GETXO COMIC FAIR
Since 2002, the comic exhibition Salón del Cómic has been held annually in Getxo. It has become a landmark event for enthusiasts of this genre from all over the world.
The Salón organises myriad comic-related activities (workshops, talks, exhibitions, masterclasses…).
In addition, it has a retail area for fanzines, magazines, specialist bookshops, and publishing houses.
One of the Salón’s many attractions is that besides acquiring the latest publications or finding legendary issues, visitors may attend signing sessions held by famous authors within the field.
Past editions:
Over the course of the years, the Salón del Cómic de Getxo has hosted numerous famous and award-winning authors, such as Salvador Larroca, Purita Campos, Carlos Pacheco, Carla Berrocal, Max, Javirroyo, Paco Roca, Olga Carmona…and more recently, the veteran strip cartoonists Kim (Joaquim Aubert Puigarnau) and Simonides, who led the homage to major figures in the world of comics, such as Javier Olivares, Sara Soler, Santiago Sequeiros, Mónica Lalanda, Luis Bustos, Elsa Ruiz…
Entrance to the venues is free, although access is limited.
